Welcome back everyone! It was so lovely to see all the children back, ready to learn. This week we have been getting to know each other and in our PSHE lessons, we discussed why we need rules in the classroom. We decided what our classroom charter rules would be and we also thought about what targets we would set ourselves to stretch us in our learning this year.

Next week we will start the curriculum lessons. In RE, we will be learning about Judaism, and in Science, we will learn about materials and how they change. In History, we will be learning all about the Anglo Saxons and in Computing, we will explore Coding.

In English next week, we will start a Non-Chronological Report unit and read exerts from the book ‘Monsterology’. We will focus on the use of formal language and will use a range of conjunctions to extend sentences. In Maths next week, we will be learning about place value. We will identify the value of digits, compare and order numbers and learn how to round numbers to the nearest thousand, ten thousand and hundred thousand.

This term, Saffron's PE days are Tuesday and Wednesday. Swimming will start next half term for Saffron.
